Ingredients
1/2 lb 80% lean ground beef
1/2 c shredded Mexican blend cheese
1/4 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 c shredded romain
1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 c water
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp Himalayan pink salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic power
1/4 tsp onion powder
Optional Ingredients for topping pizza; not included in nutritional facts: avocado, jalapeno slices, Cholula or sriracha, sour cream, salsa
Instructions
Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain
Add water, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to the skillet, cover and turn down heat to simmer on low for about 5 minutes
In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat
Once the pan is hot, sprinkle half of the shredded Mexican cheese into the skillet and immediately add half of the shredded cheddar on top of the Mexican cheese.
Using a spatula, shape the edges of the cheese to form a circle
Cook for 4-5 minutes or until the cheese easily lifts from the skillet; use your spatula to lift the edges of the pizza from the pan, going around the edges until the whole crust could easily slide out
Place cheese crust onto a plate with a paper towel to drain the oil
Once the oil is drained, remove the crust onto a plate and top with romaine, ground beef and any other toppings you would like to add.
Cut into 4 slices with a pizza cutter
*Note- this recipe makes 1-2 personal size pizzas depending on the size you make them
