Why sacrifice a night out because of a diet? Good thing you don't have to!


I'm pretty sure it's happened to all of us at least once. Your friend calls you to meet for dinner or a night out, but you're on a strict diet. How stressful it is to pick through a menu in search of just one meal you can order that won't bring it all crashing down. Here's the bright side and the main reason I love keto. You can find something keto friendly almost anywhere (almost). Follow these simple guidelines to ensure you don't spiral into carb loaded regret.


-Wings! Wings can be your best friend. Any decent pub, most pizzerias and many dining establishments boast "award winning chicken wings". Good thing hot sauce has no carbs. Don't be tempted by boneless, which were always my favorite, and stick to the standard buffalo flavor. BBQ sauce is way up there in sugar content.


- Ordering a salad? Pay close attention to the dressing you are ordering. Many dressings contain sugar and carbs. It's easy to forget that out of a whole salad, a little dressing could be your undoing. I always try to substitute for ranch when possible.


- If you're like me and don't always like asking for "just water, please" you can always get unsweetened iced tea. There's less than 1 carb in 8 fl oz, so it's not a keto killer.
